I was fortunate enough to read Part 1 in this series, "Doubt", just recently and was so intrigued by the story that I was able to jump right into this second installment. Hopefully, the last book will be out the next few months to complete the trilogy as so far this has been a wild and very satisfying ride. "Resist" picks up where the first book left off, with Harry and Cristal together and battling some dark forces that mean to end the existence of the world as we know it. There is a great mix of technology and spirituality here that I find intriguing beyond measure and the use of the angels in this one is also quite interesting. Another very well written and exciting adventure. Book 3 can't come out soon enough for me.Product details

Love reading it
Great characters, and storyline. I found it even more enjoyable that the previous book(book 1). If you read book 1, you'll love this, and if you didn't read book 1, then you should(and shame on you).
Very interesting premise for a post apocalyptic supernatural tale. Vasquez has artfully taken a fresh approach and unveiled a story that is unpredictable, exciting and scary. Melding the supernatural with scientific and technological advancements kept me guessing and quickly turning the pages. Interesting characters, I still am unsure what side a couple of them are on, which gives a sense of foreboding as the story goes on. Great read, I thoroughly enjoyed it!
So loved book o e and two a damlooking forward to the next in the series. I would recommend this author and her work as great reading material.
RESIST, book two in the "Truth Seekers" trilogy by Anne-Rae Vasquez, is even better than DOUBT, the first book in the trilogy. The characters have been fleshed out even better, and from the very first page it's one twist after another. I Could. Not. Put. It. Down!
RESIST is a must read for anyone who loves a good end of the world/ apocalyptic thriller. While it could be read as a stand alone, I highly recommend reading DOUBT first.

Harry and Cristal and back in book 2 of the ‘Among Us Trilogy’ in this fast-paced, paranormal, YA mash-up.
After the cataclysmic earthquakes that rocked the world in ‘Doubt’, things are really heating up. There’s a demon on the loose and Harry can’t quite believe who it is. There are angels too, and baddies, and even time for humor. And a little romance.
The action is faster, the paranormal exceeds government recommended levels, and you might just get a little dizzy with all the teleporting, but you won’t get bored. I especially liked the middle-eastern location and characters, which take up a thread of the story, and adds a lot of nuance.
The handy summary of Doubt and character glossary was a nice touch in a series book.
I love the way this series is unfolding. This is the second in a trilogy (with a surprise that I will not disclose when you finish the second book). I can't say with certainty why I find this particularly enjoyable. The characters seem to reveal themselves as much as the narrative describes them. Sometimes reading is work, and I'm a book hound who likes philosophy, theology and other "heavy" reads, but even fiction sometimes while a pleasure is still like carrying a load. That's not the case with these books from Vasquez. I will be buying book three.. Sometimes stories can touch on huge topics but it takes a certain touch to keep the act of reading fun for the reader even when the subject matter is huge. See, I'm getting analytic and reading this review is probably not fun. Just get the trilogy and have fun. A Buy signal from me.
